A14 Improvement Scheme suggested Cycling route Swavesey to Fenstanton

Approximate length of route 18.7km. 

Start: Cambridge Services

Cross the roundabout heading right using the footbridge crossing Huntingdon Road

Head north along Bucking Way Road past board 7 through Swavesey

At the junction between Station Road and the Guided Busway, turn left to follow the busway to St Ives for around 5.5km (National Cycle Network route 51)

At Bridge Street, St Ives, turn left to cross the river and continue towards Hemingford Grey.

turn left onto Low Road then cross the roundabout to continue on Low Road

At Turnpike Bridge turn left towards Fenstanton along the old Huntingdon Road

At the Clock House junction continue onto the High Street, through Fenstanton and onto the old Huntingdon Road. 

Follow the public right of way alongside Huntingdon Road past board 9 and 7

Take the first turn at the roundabout and the second turn at the second roundabout and continue along the public right of way along the footbridge over the A14 and return to Cambridge Services
