West Pit Local Nature Reserve

The undulating terrain of West Pit LNR is unique to Cambridge’s usually flat landscape. Previously a quarry the site is now a SSSI due to the presence of the beautiful but very rare Moon carrot. There are two other reserves across the road from West Pit which are now both managed by the Wildlife Trust and well worth a visit.
