Limekiln Close and East Pit Local Nature Reserve
Close to the busy residential areas of Cherry Hinton, this reserve forms an important habitat for many species.
Previously used as quarries, the areas have a more dramatic landscape then most of the surrounding area as it contains white chalk cliffs.
Access to this site has been improved in recent years with the addition of steps.
Well worth a visit all year, the summer is a particularity vibrant with chalk grassland flowers, and other unusual plants.
