Barnwell East Local Nature Reserve
Barnwell East local nature reserve provides excellent walking throughout the year.
In 1992 the area was close to being used for housing and football pitches, but this was prevented when it was declared a local nature reserve.
Highlights include spawning frogs and toads in the spring, wild flowers including orchids, and even grass snakes.
