West Cams 100s Youth Rangers: Spring wildflower walk (Waresley and Gransden Wood)

Field with a flower

West Cambs 100s Youth Rangers is a new series of activities for secondary-age young people to attend independently. The sessions make use of a few different nature reserves between Gamlingay, Cambourne, and Comberton, with occasional activities on the edge of Cambridge. There is something most months, either on a Saturday morning or on a Friday during school holidays. It might be a practical task, walk, social event, talk or workshop. The activities are aimed at young people aged 11-17 interested in local wildlife and global environmental issues. Some activities are free.

Communities and Education Officer Becca will lead a guided walk around the nationally important Waresley and Gransden Wood Nature Reserve. On the way, we'll discuss discuss identification of spring wildlife, and the conservation techniques used to look after the site. This is a chance to meet like-minded people, talk to staff about careers, learn more about this wood, and have a sociable morning outdoors.
