Great Fen Signs of Spring - A Guided Walk

Bungalow

Join us for a guided walk around one of the trails at Woodwalton Fen National Nature Reserve. Discover this exciting site, widely considered the birthplace of modern conservation. This beautiful reserve is internationally important for wildlife and provides a refuge for thousands of species of fen animals and plants, many of which are found nowhere else in the country. It is a National Nature Reserve, a Ramsar site, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a Special Area of Conservation (SAC). We will explore the peaceful paths through the reeds while on the lookout for sky dancing harriers, wheeling kites, flocks of finches, blossoming wildflowers and the busy bees, butterflies and beetles readying for spring. We’ll also have the opportunity to step inside the historic Rothschild Bungalow. Bring your binoculars!

As a celebration of the National Lottery players that help fantastic projects and organisations like ours to continue to make such a difference to people and communities, we are offering special free places for this walk on production of a National Lottery ticket. This promotion was originally part of National Lottery Open Week to say #ThanksToYou and we are honouring the offer on this rescheduled date.
