Ely Local Group Mid-winter Walk

Walk

Cold temperatures and short days may mean that the temptation is to stay huddled up at home, but Winter is, of course, an excellent time of year to watch wildlife. Trees can be appreciated anew in their more minimal Winter forms and the absence of leaves makes spotting birds somewhat easier too! Birds tend to be especially active, as they search for food during the reduced daylight hours and mammals may also be bolder than usual. In their customary mid-Winter walk Ely Local Group will head through Cherry Hill park, along the River Great Ouse and round Roswell Pits to see what winter wildlife they can spot.

Although booking is not essential, if the weather is particularly poor, please check with Will that the event is going ahead.
