East Pit Chalk Grassland Flowers

PArk in the evening

East Pit was quarried up until the early 1980s and is the largest of the three chalk pits at Cherry Hinton. Ten years ago the site was largely covered with Buddleia, but this has been cleared through the work of the Wildlife Trust, helping chalk grassland plants to re-establish across the site. Come along for the evening to see some of the beautiful chalk grassland flowers that can be found at this reserve. Wear suitable boots and clothes for a walk around the reserve.
