Great Fen Wildlife Watch - Spring Life

We love wildlife - and bet you do too! Wildlife Watch is here for kids that can't get enough of exploring the great outdoors or those desperate to find out a bit more about the weird and wonderful creatures we share our world with. Wildlife Watch is the junior branch of The Wildlife Trusts and the UK's leading environmental action club for children and families.

Each session will have a different theme to learn about, activities to try and crafts to make. This group is designed for Primary-aged children (7-11). Younger children are welcome to attend but may not get the most out of the event.

The sessions will be outside so please come dressed appropriately. You don't have to be a Wildlife Watch member to attend, everyone is welcome. However, if you are members you will benefit from the discount attendance fee and your activities can count towards your awards!

A drink and snack are included. Why not bring a packed lunch and stay longer?

This Month - Spring Life! Take a guided walk around the reserve searching for the sights and sounds of emerging spring and on the hunt for the lost baby fenland animals. Which baby belongs to which adult? Is it easy to tell from how they look? Investigate metamorphosis and the many ways we can categorise the wildlife that calls the Great Fen home. To support the spring wildlife in our gardens, we'll be making bug hotels to take home and learning to use hammers safely.
