Cherry Hinton East Pit Glow-worm Walk
East Pit was quarried up until the early 1980s and is the largest of the three chalk pits at Cherry Hinton. It is now a Wildlife Trust reserve, home to a diverse flora and fauna, including a healthy population of glow-worms. Come along for the evening to learn more about these elusive beetles and help us search for glow-worms in the quarry. If you haven’t seen these amazing insects in action before, you’re in for a treat! Bring a torch and suitable boots and clothes for a walk around the reserve.
