Longthorpe Tower A Medieval Christmas Living History Re-Enactment Weekend

Not only will you experience the stunning medieval wall paintings that Longthorpe Tower is famous for, but you will also get a flavour of life as it would have been in the 15th century when the Whittlebury Family occupied the manor house.

Experienced costumed interpreters will share the remarkable story of the house and its décor and explain daily life in the 1400s. Discover the food, clothing, medicine, arms and armour and meet costumed characters such as the Lady of the Manor, a monk, a barber-surgeon and soldiers Not only will you experience the stunning medieval wall paintings that Longthorpe Tower is famous for, but you will find out how Christmas was celebrated 500 years ago.

Tours are available at 10:00, 11:30, 13:30, 15:00.
